Gary Johnson at Green Baggins has posted an overview of the issues at Westminster Philly with historical back drop that puts into focus what is going on there and why it is that non-confessional and those who cease to hold to their confessions all end up in the same morass.

“One, this group is upset with Peter Lillback, the president of WTS for being the keynote speaker at an event hosted by Vision Forum, which, we are told, is “an extremely dubious organization” that has, among other things, an extremely right-wing political agenda.”

I wonder who that “one” was?
For goodness sake, Lillback spoke at the Jamestown Quadricentennial (400th anniversery)
He spoke on that “extremely dubious” right-wing political character George Washington. His message was titled “Providence and Perseverence of George Washington”
- Sheesh!

Sometimes I wonder, if I am (the maintenance man) the most conservative man here where I am at.
The sheep are often, more conservitive than thier Pastors and Sem Profs!

Larry,
That is the point of what is going on with the “Save our Seminary” crowd it would be as if the Vanhoozerites were to start a website at TEDS “to save it” which one could read as to make sure it finishes its capitulation from its starting place. That is why appreciated the historical sketch here, also if you check the link that Dr. R. Scott Clark posted on the As TEDS so Westminster?. I think that Dr. Clark gets to the heart of the issue with his contrast of the experientialist nature of those who are leading the “megashift” in Evangelicalism and why the Reformed are left scratching their heads at these charges.
